The Farm is located north of Boulder, Colorado, on a lovely piece of agricultural property with sweeping views of the foothills and the Flatirons to the southwest. An existing farmhouse was moved from Eastern Boulder County and subsequently placed on a new foundation. A new family room addition, which includes stairs to the "bunkhouse" in the attic above, and a new rear porch were added to the south end of the house.  A new barn was added east of the dwelling. The house is sited so that the new addition and the rear porch can take advantage of the views and one can easily kibitz during bocce matches on the adjoining court. The Farm is an example of residential architecture at a very modest, yet thoughtful, scale.

The original farmhouse was completely renovated. The interior was re-plastered and the exterior was repaired and re-sided. To add some detail to the elevations, new cedar shingles now infill the gables above a new band board.  All exterior windows were replaced with new wood units, detailed to match as closely as possible the originals.
